Awards and Recognition
Abermain Rams FC has been recognised as the 2025 Club of the Year, following an outstanding year of growth, leadership and community impact.
In 2025, the Rams undertook a full review of their facilities with a focus on safety, suitability and inclusiveness for their players and the wider community. From this, the club proactively engaged with Cessnock City Council, the NNSWF Facilities Fund, and various grant bodies to drive significant upgrades.
As a result of their commitment, the club has successfully increased player numbers, improved lighting, installed drainage, and refurbished their change rooms. Their dedication to fostering an inclusive football environment also saw the introduction of a female football strategy and the appointment of a Female Football Coordinator.
Thanks to these efforts, Abermain Rams FC now proudly fields four all-girls teams, highlighting their ongoing commitment to providing opportunities for women and girls in football.
NNSWF Local Champion Awards Team of the Month -
August 2025
A huge congratulations to our Under 8/2 team
This award is so well deserved – the team showed incredible spirit by jumping in to help other RAMS teams when they were short on players, even backing up games one after another! And to top it off, one of our players (from another team) stepped up to help another club by refereeing when they needed a hand.
This is what being a RAM is all about – teamwork, community, and supporting others both on and off the field.
